Cookies
This site only uses cookies for Meta Pixel and Google Analytics, and only if you choose “Accept” in our cookie banner. Our legal basis for using them is your consent. You can change your mind at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the site; if you withdraw consent we stop loading them and remove their cookies.
We remember your choice in your browser’s storage, which is not shared with anyone.

Meta Pixel
Meta Pixel records the pages you view, how far you scroll, which share buttons and links you click, and how you found the site (for example, the website, ad or shared link you came from), along with technical details such as your device and browser.
We use it to measure how well our posts and ads on Facebook and Instagram work, and to show our campaign ads there to people who have visited this site. Meta receives this information directly from your browser and may link it to your Facebook or Instagram account, under Meta’s privacy policy.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics records the pages you view, how long you spend on them, how far you scroll, which share buttons and links you click, and how you found the site (for example, the website, ad or shared link you came from), along with technical details such as your device, browser and approximate location (your town or country, worked out from your IP address, which Google Analytics does not store).
We use it to understand how many people visit, read and share the site, and where they come from. We keep this data in Google Analytics for 14 months. Google processes it under Google’s privacy policy.
Meta and Google may process data in the United States, protected by the UK–US data bridge or equivalent safeguards.
Fathom Analytics
Fathom Analytics counts visits to this site for everyone, as it does not use cookies or collect personal data. It records the pages viewed, how far visitors scroll, which share buttons and links they click, the website, ad or shared link they came from, and their device type, browser and country, without identifying or following individual visitors. We use it to count visits, see where they come from and how many go on to share the site. Fathom processes it under Fathom’s privacy policy.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, and to have it corrected, deleted or restricted, or to object to how we use it. To use any of these rights, email info@odettecase.org.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if we change how we use your data.
